From the age of four, Katy Clucas knew she would be a make-up artist. With a father in the television industry and a mother who had a business in beauty, it was a natural choice.

Make-up, to Katy, has never been simply a coverup but a way for her to help someone enhance their best assets or to change their appearance either partially or completely. With this in mind, she started doing make-up and hair styling for school plays and friends.

When school finished in 2006 Katy stayed on her chosen path and went straight to The Art and Technology of Make-up college and studied there full time. Here she was in her element, studying every type of make-up from beautiful simple fashion to special effects for film and TV.

After college Katy took the theory she had learnt there and added practical experience by assisting top make-up artists, often for free, for two years.

Since that time, and armed with her theoretical and practical knowledge of make-up, Katy has been specialising in Television, Commercials and individual Celebrities.

In the television world, Katy has worked on shows such as The X Factor, Australia’s Got Talent, Celebrity Apprentice, The Price is Right, The Riff and many more. She is also the senior make-up artist for Silk Studios where she supervises make-up on programs for Sky News and Channel Nine on a weekly basis.

On the Commercial front, Katy has been Head Make-up artist on TVC’s for big brands like Telstra, Sony, Sharp, Arnotts, Sprite, Electrolux, Target and many more. Se has also run make-up on Advertorials for Channel 9 and Brand New Media.

When it comes to Celebrity work, Katy’s list includes Australian Prime Ministers – Tony Abbott, Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard and John Howard – music stars such as Guy Sebastian, LMFAO, Rudimental, The Script, Ronan Keating, MKTO, The Potbellies, Labyrinth, Aloe Blacc, Simple Plan, Timomatic and Justice Crew. While the personalities have been characters like Kyle Sandilands, Luke Jacobz, Stephanie Rice and many more.
